I love the intensity of the flower buds against the more subtle "leaves". [What are those called with cacti?] It is a gorgeous composition, with such beautiful and rich colors!

ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments! We have so many different cactus types here in Southern California. I know this one as 'prickly pear cactus' which is probably a common name and don't now what the proper name is. This particular plant is at the Huntington Library.
