New painting
Today I finished working on my current watercolor, "Edible Flowers", a diptych which is 15"x23". It's my first painting of artichokes and it was really fun to do! I'm now ready to start my next painting!
Kittie, WOW....it's just stunning! When you posted the painting "in progress" I thought it was wonderful, but the end result is nothing short of amazing! I hope I get to see it in an upcoming show or exhibit! It a first prize winner in my book!!
Thank you so much Gail. I'm entering it in Segil Fine Art's Summer Show. Hope it gets accepted. The show theme is "The Farmer's Market-from Field to Farm, Market to Table". I thought it was a pretty cool theme!
The reference photo I took from the Arlington Gardens when I was there with you looked like two separate paintings. I thought doing a diptych would be a nice way to paint the whole thing in two parts. Hope all is well with you. Sounds like you are doing a lot of reading and had a good visit with the kids! Painting?
Love your format, subject and colors...beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks, LibbyBee! It was a fun painting to do!

It's so beautiful and so well painted, Kittie! I love how you have a few leafy bits extending from one frame to the other.
ReplyDeleteThis is another beauty Kathleen. You've got such a beautiful variety of greens in this painting and I love the purples. The diptych format is perfect.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Nancy!
DeleteI've always liked the green and purple combination!
